SOLILO · A WORLD OF STORIES

Stories, held with care.

One true story shared each month — sent quietly to your inbox. Or, brought to your own table.

WHAT SOLILO IS

A quiet practice of stories and art.

Each month, one true story is shared by someone real. It arrives in your inbox. You can simply receive it. Or, if it stirs something, respond by creating: words, image, sound, taste, motion. Whatever the story moves through you.

The next month, we share some of what came back, alongside a new story. A small, continuous rhythm.

Host a Solilo dinner.

There's another way to live this — in person, around a table. A small group of your people. Stories shared aloud. Art presented in response. The room holds it together.

What Holding a Dinner Looks Like

  • 01

    the beginning

    Story.

Someone shares a true story from their life. No more than ten minutes when read aloud. Simple or complex, joyful or heavy — the only thing that matters is that it’s as honest and truthful as is remembered.

  • 02

    the response

    Art.

The story passes to another — no context, just the words. They sit with it, and then, in their own way, they answer. A painting, a poem, a song, a dish, a sculpture, a dance.

  • 03

    the table

    Gathering.

When the practice is brought to a table, each person reads aloud the story they originally submitted and the person who received it presents the piece they made in response.

  • 04

    the unfolding

    Witness.

A story becomes something new in another’s hands and the room holds the witnessing. This is how every story has meaning, and how art quietly brings us closer together.
